SHARE JESUS’ STORY
Here are four presentations of Jesus’ Story. They start with the simple and work to the more thorough. You can use a pen and a napkin with all of them.
Do vs Done
Has anyone ever shared with you the Good News of the Bible?
Most of what we call religion can be summed up in the word …
DO
Do this and don’t do that. And if you do this and don’t do that well enough, you’ll be right with God.
The Good News, however, can be summed up in the word …
DONE
What we could never do, Jesus has done for us. He perfectly obeyed God the Father and then He compassionately paid the penalty for our sins on the cross.
So we aren’t made right with God by our religious performance, but by God’s grace in Jesus Christ. Praise God!
Let me show you in the Bible where it says this …
Romans 3:21-25 (NLT)
21 But now God has shown us a way to be made right with him without keeping the requirements of the law, as was promised in the writings of Moses and the prophets long ago. 22 We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are.
23 For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. 24 Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. 25 For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood.
Ephesians 2:8-9 (NIV)
8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast.
Are you ready to be done with religion and done with trying to be good enough to please God? And are you ready to trust in what Jesus has already done for you and so be accepted by God because you trust in His Son Jesus?
The Good News Kite
Has anyone ever shared with you the Good News of the Bible?
Let me try to draw it out for you and ask you some questions.
Who is God? Who are we? Who is Jesus? How can we be right with God?
God is our good Creator and as our Creator He has authority over our lives.
We are God’s creatures. And as his creatures, we are responsible to God for how we live our lives. We are responsible to obey God—to live our lives according to His will. The problem is, from the beginning, we have been living in sinful rebellion against God’s authority. We live in disobedience and defiance against Him. And not only are we responsible to obey God, we are responsible because we disobey God. God holds us accountable and will punish our disobedience. That punishment is our deaths.
That’s the bad news. The Good News is …
Jesus is God’s Son and our Rescuer. And Jesus has rescued us by taking personal responsibility for our obedience and our disobedience. He took responsibility for our obedience. He did what we could never do. He perfectly obeyed the Father. And He took responsibility for our disobedience. He died on the cross in our place. He suffered the death penalty for our sins instead of us. So Jesus lived the life we should have and died the death we would have.
Now we can be right with God by turning from our sin and trusting in Jesus. When we do, God forgives us our sin and gives us Jesus’ obedience, Jesus’ righteousness.
What do you see in the center? The cross of Jesus. On the cross Jesus died to forgive our sin and because He came to life again Jesus shares this new life with us.

What would stop you from turning from your sin and trusting in Jesus right now?
This presentation follows the storyline covered in FAITH.
The 3 Circles

There’s a 3 Circles decal you can put on your water bottle, phone, tablet or laptop. It creates curiosity and it’s great for sharing the Good News—DECAL.
2 Kingdoms
This presentation is the most thorough.
Colossians 1:13-14 (NLT)
13 For [God the Father] has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son, 14 who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins.
From what has God rescued us?
To what has God transferred us?
How has Jesus purchased our freedom and forgiven our sins AND how do these relate to our rescue and transfer?
What happens when we tell people they only need God’s forgiveness in Jesus Christ, but don’t tell them they need God’s rescue from Satan’s kingdom through Jesus Christ?
2 Kingdoms combines the New Testament emphasis on two essential parts of the Good News.
Acts 8:12 (NIV)
But when they believed Philip as he proclaimed the good news of the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.
Acts 28:30-31 (NIV)
30 For two whole years Paul stayed there in his own rented house and welcomed all who came to see him. 31 He proclaimed the kingdom of God and taught about the Lord Jesus Christ—with all boldness and without hindrance!
When Philip and Paul shared the Good News, what did they include in that Good News?
Here’s the presentation …

The Apostle Paul writes ...
Colossians 1:13-14 (NLT)
13 For [God the Father] has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son, 14 who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins.
There’s more to life than what meets the eye. That’s because, behind the scenes, there are two very different kingdoms. The first is the kingdom of darkness which is characterized by brokenness, sin and death. Satan is the king of this kingdom. The second is the eternal Kingdom of God which is characterized by love, forgiveness and life. The King of this Kingdom is the Lord Jesus Christ, God’s One and Only Son. And through His death on the cross and His resurrection to new life, Jesus has purchased our freedom, forgiven our sins and demonstrated that He is the True King. You don’t have to be a captive any longer. You can find true freedom and full forgiveness by turning from your sin and trusting in Jesus. As Jesus said …
Mark 1:15
The time has come. The kingdom of God is at hand. Repent and believe the good news!
What would stop you from turning from your sin and trusting Jesus right now?"
Here’s the 2 Kingdoms presentation as a video.
There’s a 2 Kingdoms outreach card with both the graphic and Colossians 1:13-14. It leads people to a website the introduces them to the Good News of Jesus and the Kingdom of God - 2Kingdoms.org. There’s also a wristband with 2Kingdoms.org that can be used on prayer outreaches.
